KEVEN WEST, DIRECTOR

Keven is a co founder of Asteros Advisers. Previously Keven was a Director in BDO's Infrastructure Advisory team. He specialises in providing financial and commercial advice in the delivery of public sector infrastructure and projects. Keven has provided support to clients in the healthcare, emergency services, local authority and central government sectors.

​A qualified Management Accountant (ACMA), Keven has 13 years public sector finance experience having worked in various roles and environments within the NHS. He then built on this NHS experience through his work as an adviser to NHS clients with Nexus Consulting and then Ramsay Health Care where, as lead financial advisor for Ramsay’s Bid Development team, he helped secure PPP contracts with the Department of Health as part of the ISTC programme.

Whilst at BDO Keven worked on a range of consultancy assignments providing financial and commercial advice on capital planning and investment projects to a wide range of public and private sector clients. Keven’s specialisms include public sector business case production (using his extensive 5 Case Model and HMT Green Book Guidance experience), Value for Money (vfm) and capital investment evaluation, private sector funding analysis and funding competitions and EU Procurement.

Keven is also a leading expert on Strategic Estates Partnerships (SEPs), where he has advised both public and private sector clients on more than half of the SEP deals that have been through procurement. Keven has also provided advice on alternative Joint Venture partnerships (public : private and public : public)  in Local Government and the Health sector.

His private sector experience coupled with his strong public sector knowledge gives Keven a rounded understanding of commercial transactions.
